FCN SUNMAN NAMED BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
The Sunman Chamber of Commerce honored FCN Bank in Sunman by naming it the 2010 Business of the Year at its Annual Meeting at Tha' Store Cafe. The award was accepted by Sunman Branch Manager Carla Hacker on behalf of the Sunman staff. FCN President and CEO Art Hilldebrand was also in attendence to withness the honor given to FCN Sunman.
In accepting the award, Carla thanked the Chamber and all of the members and sponsors of the organization. She also gave a short history of the bank, starting as a community bank in 1933 (People's Bank and Trust Company), being bought by a large chain (First Financial) in 1995, and now back as a community bank (FCN since 2003).Carla also highlighted much of the community service the Sunman bank participated in:
Hosted a Chamber After Hours
Volunteering at the ROD Center Art Festival
Booth at ECHS Career Night
Operating a mini-branch at ECHS
Booth at the Legion Bridal Fair
Partner with ECHS FCCLA
Chaired Sunman Walking Warriors Relay for Life Team
Annual booth at both at East Central and Jac-Cen-Del "Reality Check," teaching 8th graders about financial responsibilties
Booth at the Ripley County Fair and is the Pedal Pull Sponsor at the Fair
Participated in every parade in Sunman (and won 1st place in the Wine Fest Parade)
Several employees worked or chaired an event at the Wine Festival
Host Matter of Balance classes for the elderly at St. John's every other week.
Hold 2 additonal fundraisers for the Relay for Life
Volunteer help at the Sunman Fireman's Festival
