FCN Harrison opened with a bang in October 2007. Opening for business on October 15, the following week, October 22-27 featured a full week of prize giveaways, a big spinning wheel, great food from local restaurants, and many many "Cool Car" T-shirts given away.

And on Thursday, October 25, the biggest blowout of the week happened, when hundreds of people showed up for live music, fried chicken and more food, and the big cake cutting.

Some said they had never seen that many people in a bank at one time. Others said they had never seen a Grand Opening of any kind that big. But either way, the Grand Opening of the new FCN Bank location in Harrison was a huge success. All during the week of October 22, the bank was visited by many customers, both new and existing, each of whom got to spin the big wheel for a prize ranging from a $25 dollar gift certificate to a local Harrison business, to one of the many “Cool Car” t-shirts the bank was giving away. But then on Thursday the 25th, a major crowd appeared for the big party, which included fried chicken and other food, and live music.

“We are extremely pleased with the opening of the Harrison branch” said FCN President and CEO Art Hildebrand. “We all want to thank everyone who banks with us, and also everyone who has already visited the new location. So far, the response has been very positive, and we are very appreciative of the support everyone has shown us in this new endeavor.”

For a time on Thursday, it was difficult to walk through the lobby of the bank, because of the large crowd there. The party was advertised to be between 4 and 8 pm, highlighting the fact that FCN Harrison will stay open every Thursday until 8pm, but a large crowd was already assembled by 3pm, and it grew larger from there.

“I’m a bit overwhelmed,” said FCN Marketing Director Jim Suhre, “in a good way, of course. I arranged for food for approximately 500 people, and worried all day that I had gotten too much. But every crumb was eaten and we could have easily served much more.”

In addition to the fried chicken, there was also food from the Market Street Grille, Monk’s Kitchen, El Mariachi, and Buffalo Wild Wings, as well as a large cake from Harrison Home Bakery. WRBI Batesville also came and broadcasted live from the event.

The new FCN location is on New Haven Road, at the intersection of Biggs Boulevard in Harrison. The staff of FCN wish to thank everyone who helped make the Grand Opening a big success, and hope everyone finds the new location a convenient addition to the services FCN provides.
