WILDCATS EVEN THE SERIES WITH CROSS-COUNTY SWEEP

Franklin County High School evened the Cross-County Classic series at one apiece, Friday, February 20, by winning both the basketball game and the fundraising contest against its rival to the north, the Connersville Spartans.

The Wildcats held the lead for much of the game, but had to survive many second-half runs made at them by the Spartans. The Wildcats won the contest 58-46, setting up next year's game in the Spartan Bowl to break the tie.
