Harrison Kiwanis will be having their annual Fish Fry every Friday during Lent Season. Please join us at the FCN Harrison Bank parking lot every Friday for Lunch from 11am to 1pm, or Dinner from 4pm to 7pm!
In the latest installment of their local artist series, FCN Bank is pleased to host a special engagement during the month of March, featuring the work of Harrison Junior School students. Pieces will be on display in the lobby of the bank's Harrison branch through March 31. FCN Bank has hosted art shows since 2008 and this will be the 3rd time to showcase the students from Southwest Local, but it is the first time Harrison Junior School has been represented. The work in this show is a collection of 35- 40 pieces of artwork done by 7th and 8th graders, and reflects their varied artistic skills and abilities. At Harrison Junior School, the students' emerging interests are the core of visual literacy and art curriculum that promotes ownership in learning. Students coordinate artistic processes to imagine and create in both conventional and innovative ways. Examples on display will include self portrait collages, Egyptian sculptures, landscape and flower paintings, assorted drawings, and linoleum prints. A Meet the Artists' reception will be held from 10:00AM to 12:30PM on Saturday, March 10 in the lobby of the bank's Harrison branch located at 590 Ring Road in the Remke Biggs Plaza. Students will be present, as well as their instructors, to discuss the pieces on display. FCN will provide refreshments for all attendees.
